CHAIRPERSON

Naboshi Sharon

Procurement Specialists

Sharon Neboshi is a dedicated public service professional with strong expertise in procurement, inventory management, and accountability systems. With over eight years of experience strengthening supply chains, managing resources, and ensuring transparency in government institutions, she brings exceptional governance and operational oversight to Motherly Heart.

Her background in customer care and public-sector leadership enhances her ability to guide teams, build partnerships, and uphold high ethical standards. As Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Sharon provides strategic direction, promotes responsible resource management, and supports Motherly Heart’s mission to advance education, gender equality, and community empowerment.

VICE CHAIRPERSON

Derrick Mugoba

Educator

Education professional with over 7 years of progressive experience in teacher training, programme implementation, coaching, mentoring, data collection, and community engagement. Skilled at delivering technical support in Early Grade Reading (EGR), School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV) prevention, and professional development for educators. Strong background in working with donor-funded education projects, supporting government and community structures, and using digital tools for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

Geoffrey Bwireh

Mentor and Social Entreprenuer

Geoffrey Bwireh is the Founder and CEO at the Initiative for Community Resilience as well an Associate Lecturer at North Umbria University, UK and a member of diverse, internationally experienced faculty experts and experienced practitioners that contribute their subject matter expertise throughout the CAS program at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts School of Business in Switzerland.

Has 16 years of un-interrupted university teaching and business ownership management within the East African countries. Successfully taught as a guest lecturer at leading business schools in the USA: Darden Business School University of Virginia, and Rice Business, Rice University. Until recently has been the Erasmus+ program coordinator for the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences at Mbarara University of Science and Technology in Uganda a position he has excelled in as a pioneer coordinator and guest lecturer at Powislanska University a partner university of the program in Poland.

He is passionate about sharing his business ownership and global collaborative Experiences in his career journey a greater part of which has been in the rather resource-constrained setting in the East and Great Lakes regions of Africa that lie squarely in the Sub-Saharan Africa. Travelled and taught across three continents Africa, Europe and North America as well as attending a summer school at The Chinses University of Hong Kong.

Nagudi Lydia

Social Worker

With nearly seven years of experience in community-based protection and humanitarian response, Lydia is a committed social worker passionate about empowering vulnerable women, children, and adolescent girls. She has led protection programs, supervised teams, strengthened partnerships with NGOs and local authorities, and ensured quality project implementation through strong planning, budgeting, and monitoring skills.

Holding a Master’s in Refugee and Migration Studies, she is also trained in GBV prevention, psychosocial support, peacebuilding, and child safeguarding. As a Board Member of Motherly Heart, she brings expertise in gender-responsive programming and a deep commitment to advancing inclusive education and community development.

Akubwa Vincent

Educator

Akubwa Vincent holds a degree in Education and Teaching from Kyambogo University. He is currently a teacher tutor at Ndeya Core P.C.



Vincent is passionate about improving children’s academic outcomes, with a special focus on numeracy and literacy, and is dedicated to helping build strong foundational skills that set them up for lifelong learning.

Anyibo Alice

Humanitarian

Alice Anyibo holds a Degree in Development Studies from Ndejje University and has worked with Days for Girls International, where she trained girls across East Africa in menstrual health and hygiene management.

Her goal is to help girls stay in school, improve overall health, and promote economic empowerment among women in vulnerable communities. With her experience, Alice aims to contribute to Motherly Heart Organization by strengthening partnerships with like-minded organizations and enhancing the organization's visibility.
