From Under a Tree to a Bigger Space : Motherly Heart gets a new location

In 2023, Motherly Heart Organization began under a tree with a few reading books and a simple goal to support children in the community who were struggling with reading.
It was a humble beginning, but behind it was a big dream to make books accessible to children from different walks of life and create opportunities for girls living in rural areas
From a Tree to One Small Room
About a year later, Motherly Heart moved from under the tree into a single room. That small room became both our office and our community children's library. It was a meaningful step forward, but as more children became interested in our reading activities, space quickly became a challenge.
The room was small and often crowded and children could not comfortably participate in reading activities at the same time. We were seeing growing interest from children, but the limited space meant we could not welcome as many children as we would have liked.
Still, we kept going!
That small room reminded us of something important: the dream was bigger than the space we had.

A New Space, A Bigger Possibility
Today, Motherly Heart is beginning another chapter.
We have moved into a new location with a much bigger space, both indoors and outdoors. This new environment gives us more room to welcome children, create better reading spaces, and hold community girls meetings.
More importantly, the new space gives us room to grow. It provides a safer and more comfortable environment for children and volunteers and gives Motherly Heart a more stable place from which to operate during our working hours.
For us, this is not simply about moving to a new location. It is a sign of growth, progress and possibility.
The Dream Is Still Growing
While we are grateful for this new space, we know that this is not the end of the journey.
Our long-term dream is to establish a permanent working venue for Motherly Heart Organization to fulfill its goals. A place that can accommodate our programs and projects, provide stability for the organisation, and protect the resources and property entrusted to us.
We envision a space where children and young people can read, learn, create, meet, dream and find joy; a place where our staff and volunteers can work effectively, and a place that can serve the community for many years to come.
